Step Change App |
Background |
The NSPCC run an annual fund raising event where individuals and teams raise sponsorship by climbing the 1037 steps and 38 floors of London’s iconic Gherkin Building. |
Objective |
Maximise sponsorship by overcoming the constraint of only a finite number of participants being able to take part in the event on the day. |
Our Solution |
-
An app that allows people to 'virtually' participate in the step change challenge whenever they want and
wherever they are
-
Individuals or teams decide where they will do their virtual challenge: gym, office, home etc
-
The app 'counts' their steps, times their 'ascent' and logs the results, ensuring they expend the same
physical effort as climbing the stairs in the Gherkin
-
An integrated 'get fit' video for pre-event training and visual and audio progress updates motivate and add
interest during the challenge
-
Integration to Facebook for viral spread of both sponsorship and participant 'recruitment' opportunities
